Letter from New Jersey Watercolor Society President, Ann Smiga Greene, AWS I’m excited to begin this 86th year of the New Jersey Watercolor Society (NJWS) and my second year as president of the organization. I share this management responsibility with a board of directors who work with a powerful spirit of volunteerism and strong commitment to NJWS. I feel honored to work with such a capable team. We continue to strive to further the appreciation and understanding of watercolor artistry and to promote New Jersey watercolor artists. ​ Please take some time to visit the pages of our NEW website and note our updated name and logo! We’ve incorporated a new exhibition entry website — ShowSubmit — which will automatically re-size your images to our show specifications!  As our organization continues to grow and thrive, we welcome new members to join us. With a long history of mastery and tradition in watercolor, NJWS prides itself as a premier watercolor group in the state of New Jersey. Each year we host exhibitions for both Elected Members and Associate Members. Current members — along with non-members residing in the state of New Jersey — are invited to participate in our Annual Open Juried Exhibition. Through this exhibition, we continue to endorse the highest standards in the jurying process.  NJWS continues to work to bridge, adapt and transition traditional watercolor methods to a rapidly developing technological world. As a non-profit organization, NJWS depends on membership fees, memorial endowments, and generous donations. The entire membership offers our thanks to donors for their substantial support.
